A weft is a strip of hair held together along one edge — a spine you can sew, tape or clip. What changes from one weft to the next is rarely the hair. It is the spine. A classic weft is machine stitched twice, for a flat, stable seam. A skin weft replaces the stitching with a thin flat edge that sits flush against the head. A seamless weft is hand tied strand by strand: thin enough to fold without bulk, and cuttable anywhere along its length.
