That is what allows you to wear your hair off your face with no visible band: the hairline is built, not covered. A frontal runs ear to ear, so you get a full front hairline and can part the hair almost anywhere across the front. Almost every other construction here is a variation on this idea — 360 lace extends the lace around the head, HD lace changes the material, glueless changes how it is secured.
